TCS share jumps 4% after Q1 result

The BSE saw a 4% increase in TCS share price in early trading on Friday, July 12, the day after the firm released its scorecard for the April-June quarter. After closing at ₹3,922.70, TCS shares started at ₹4,001.15 and quickly increased to ₹4,034.90. The TCS stock increased 2.5 percent at ₹4,019.95 a share at approximately 9:20 a.m. At that point, the equity benchmark Sensex was up 0.07 percent, or 79,956.

On Thursday, July 11, TCS reported that its consolidated net profit for Q1FY25 increased by 8.72% YoY to ₹12,040 crore. The company’s earnings for the same period the previous year was ₹11,074 crore.

With ₹62,613 crore in overall revenue from operations for the quarter, it increased 5.4% YoY from ₹59,381 crore in Q1FY24. The company’s revenue increased by 4.4% YoY in constant currency (CC) terms.

Operating margin increased 1.5% year over year to reach 24.7%. For the fiscal year 2024–2025, the company also declared an interim dividend of ₹10 per equity share.

As of 11:15 am, TCS shares were trading 4.07% higher at ₹4083.20.
