Tata Motors share jumps 2% as JLR wholesale increases 5% YoY in Q1

Tata Motors jumped 2.07% to Rs 1,014.30 following the automaker’s Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) wholesale volume rose 5% YoY to 97,755 units in Q1 FY25.
Retail sales increased by 9% year over year to 111,180 units during the quarter (including the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV).
The company stated that the new body shop in Solihull, West Midlands, expanding manufacturing capacity, was the reason behind the 22% YoY and 46% YoY increases in wholesales of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models in Q1 FY25.
As part of the company’s Reimagine strategy, which focuses on value, the overall mix of the most lucrative Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender models climbed to 68% of total wholesale volumes.
