Stock market opens at record high: Sensex crosses 80,300, Nifty above 24,350

The BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian market benchmark indices, reached new all-time highs in early trading on Thursday. While the BSE Sensex reached 80,300, the Nifty50 jumped above 24,350. At 9:18 a.m., the BSE Sensex was trading at 80,199.12, up 212 points or 0.27%. The Nifty50 traded at 24,351.55, up 65 points or 0.27%.

Domestic markets continued to rise on Wednesday, supported by strong global trends.

The Sensex hit the historic 80,000 mark, and the Nifty crossed  24,300 level.

As per TOI, Siddhartha Khemka, Head – Retail Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said,  “We expect this ongoing momentum to continue in the near term. Indian Equities today would react to the release of US Fed meeting minutes and US, Europe, and Asia -Service and Composite PMI data.”

With immediate support at 24,110 levels, Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities believes that a strong rise over 24,400 levels might open the next upside target of 24,900 levels in the upcoming week.
