Infosys share hits new high, climbs 5% on Q1 boost
In early trade on Friday, July 19, the shares of Infosys, the second-largest IT firm in India, jumped around 5% to reach a new 52-week high of ₹1,843. This came a day after the company reported better-than-expected results for the April-June quarter (Q1FY25). The price of Infosys shares began at ₹1,842.05, up 4.8% from the previous close of ₹1,759.15, and reached its 52-week high of ₹1,843. At around 9:20 a.m., the stock was 3.52 percent higher at ₹1,821 per share.
This year, the stock has witnessed a strong increase, slightly surpassing the Sensex market index. Up to July 18, Infosys’ stock had increased by almost 14% this year, compared to the Sensex’s rise of almost 13%.
As of 10:25 am, Infosys shares were trading 2.95% higher at ₹1809.30.
