Indian Hotels Company share witnesses a strong rally of 8% after Q1 profit rises 12% YoY

Shares of Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) increased more than 8% on Monday, July 22, after the company’s outstanding performance in the first quarter of FY25.

In Q1FY25, IHCL’s PAT climbed by 12% year on year to ₹248 crore, from ₹222 crore in the same period last year. Revenue increased by 5% year on year to ₹1,596 crore, from ₹1,516 crore in the previous year. EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) increased by 9.6 percent year on year to ₹496 crore, with margins rising by 70 basis points to 31%.

IHCL opened six new hotels this quarter: Tree Life Resorts in Gangtok and Srinagar, a Vivanta in Jamshedpur, a SeleQtions hotel in Mahabaleshwar and Ginger hotels in Nagpur and Jamshedpur.

As of 2:20 pm, Indian Hotels Company shares were trading 8.80% higher at ₹628.75.
