Hindustan Unilever shares lead losses after Q1 results
The early trade on Wednesday saw a more than 2% decline in the share price of Hindustan Unilever following the release of the company’s first-quarter FY25 earnings, which were mostly in line with street predictions. HUL’s BSE share price dropped as much as 2.7% to ₹2,691.35 per share.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL), a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, recorded a net profit of ₹2,538 crore for the June 2024 quarter, up 3% from ₹2,472 crores in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
In Q1FY25, the company’s operating revenue climbed 1.3% year over year (YoY) to ₹15,399 crore from ₹15,148 crore. The volume increased by 4% year over year.
EBITDA climbed by 2% to ₹3,606 crore at the operating level, while EBITDA margin increased by 20bps to 23.8%.
Hindustan Unilever shares were down 1.62% at Rs 2,721.40 on the NSE as of 10:59 AM.
