Colgate Palmolive share hits 52-week high on strong June quarter earnings
Following the company’s impressive first-quarter FY25 results announcement on Tuesday, Colgate Palmolive share jumped more than 6% to a 52-week high. On the BSE, Colgate shares increased by as much as 6.20% to Rs 3,408.40 per share.
In Q1FY25, Colgate Palmolive India reported an overall net profit of ₹364 crore, up 33% from Rs 273.68 crore in the same quarter the previous year. Year over year (YoY), the company’s sales climbed by 13% to ₹1,485.8 crore in the June 2024 quarter from Rs 1,314.7 crore.
For the second consecutive quarter, the company saw that demand in rural markets continued to increase faster than in urban markets.
Managing Director and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive, Prabha Narasimhan, stated that the toothpaste portfolio of the firm had double-digit growth, led by high single-digit volume growth.
As of 10:49 am, Colgate Palmolive shares were trading 6.18 % higher at Rs 3,408.25.
