Gold-Silver price today (July 31, 2024); Check latest rates in your city

The prices of both gold and silver increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on July 31, 2024.

Gold futures, which will mature on October 4, 2024, were up Rs 279, or 0.40 percent, on the MCX and were trading at Rs 69,457 per 10 grams. At Rs 69,178, the previous closure was recorded.

The retail price of silver futures, which will mature on September 5, 2024, was Rs 83,258 per kg on the MCX, a slight rise of Rs 599 or 0.72 percent, compared to the previous closing of Rs 82,659.

Gold and silver prices in major cities

New Delhi: In New Delhi, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 6,334 per gram. The silver price in the capital city is Rs 84,400 per kilogram.

Mumbai: In Mumbai, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 6,319 per gram. Silver in Mumbai is trading at Rs 84,400 per kilogram, matching the price in New Delhi.

Kolkata: In Kolkata, 22-carat gold is priced identically to Mumbai at Rs 6,319 per gram. The silver price in Kolkata is also the same as in Mumbai and New Delhi, at Rs 84,400 per kilogram.

Chennai: Chennai shows the highest gold price among the four cities, with 22-carat gold costing Rs 6,384 per gram. The southern city also has the highest silver price, with the precious metal trading at Rs 88,900 per kilogram.
