In today’s Indian markets, precious metals showed mixed trends. On Wednesday, July 10, silver prices have decreased while gold is trading higher on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Gold futures, which will mature on August 5, 2024, were up Rs 172, or 0.24 percent, to Rs 72,570 per 10 grams. The previous close was recorded at Rs 72,398.

On the other hand, silver futures, due on September 5, fell by Rs 129, or 0.14 percent, to Rs 92,840 per kg on the MCX, down from Rs 92,969 at the previous closing.

Gold and silver prices in major cities

New Delhi: In New Delhi, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 6,725 per gram. The silver price in the city is Rs 94,500 per kilogram.

Mumbai: In Mumbai, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 6,710 per gram. Silver in Mumbai is valued at Rs 94,500 per kilogram, matching the price in New Delhi.

Kolkata: In Kolkata the price of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 6,710 per gram. The silver price in Kolkata is Rs 94,500 per kilogram.

Chennai: Chennai, the southern city, has the highest gold price among the four cities, with 22-carat gold costing Rs 6,760 per gram. It also has the highest silver price, standing at Rs 99,000 per kilogram, which is Rs 4,500 more than the other three cities.
