Gold and silver prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, August 12, 2024.
On the MCX, gold futures with a maturity date of October 4, 2024, were trading at Rs 69,930 per 10 grams following a rise of Rs 35, or 0.05 percent. At Rs 69,895, the previous closure was recorded.
On the other hand, silver futures, which will mature on September 5, 2024, saw a small increase of Rs 187, or 0.23 percent and were trading at Rs 80,730 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 80,543.

New Delhi: In New Delhi, 22-carat gold costs Rs 6,485 per gram. The price of silver in the capital city is Rs 82,500 per kilogram.
Mumbai: In Mumbai, 22-carat gold costs Rs 6,470 per gram. The price of silver in Mumbai is Rs 82,500 per kilogram, which is the same as in New Delhi.
Kolkata: 22-carat gold costs the same in Kolkata as it does in Mumbai: Rs 6,470 per gram. The silver price in Kolkata is the same as in Mumbai and New Delhi: Rs 82,500 per kilogram.
Chennai: In Chennai, 22-carat gold costs Rs 6,470 per gram. The southern city has the highest silver price, with the precious metal trading at Rs 87,500 per kilogram.
